Nearly everyone is working on something in Hollywood – didn’t you know? From would-be actors to frustrated writers, most will say the same thing: they’re waiting for that big break – waiting to get noticed.

The fame game is no different in the world of business, so a brand must stand out or risk remaining unknown and lose out. But how do you make your brand famous?

Know who you are

Great marketing encapsulates more than social media. Before you spend the big bucks, you should develop a brand strategy that will show off your business and provide fantastic ROI.

To do this, you have to work out what you want to say and know who your target audiences are. Once you’ve nailed these things, you’ll have the insights needed to build a polished website and a killer digital marketing plan that works like a well-oiled machine.

Broadcast your brilliance

Next, you can start to make your brand a bit more interesting. Where do you begin, though? Effective digital marketing revolves around informative, engaging content, as this is what draws your audiences in, so it’s a logical focus point. This could include written, video and photographic content, along with email marketing and SEO, to name a few.

Of course, word of mouth remains invaluable. Your ambassadors could be anyone, from employees to professional influencers, with social media providing the ideal platform to raise brand awareness and communicate with millions of users.

Don’t get starstruck

The problem is: the playing field’s crowded. There’s little point in splashing out on costly advertising if you lack a long-term plan. Like many of our New Year’s resolutions, a single gesture has little sticking power unless it’s backed by a solid strategic framework.

In order to reach the top, you have to get down to the nitty-gritty of brand strategy. It’s not glamorous, it’s not always easy, but in the end it pays off.

Let’s get the

ball rolling…
