Bringing Hug to life
In 2020 we were asked to create and launch a new premium pet food brand, Hug. We carried out head-to-toe brand building for this project, including design, tone of voice, e-commerce website, content, and strategy. Shaping a strong visual identity formed a core component of our work, from Hug’s warm, inclusive logo to the packaging, website, and distinctive brand photography.
The bespoke website and shop were also central to the brief: they needed to incorporate advanced capabilities that allowed for a variety of customer journeys, including a subscription option. Due to the presence of both raw and dry products in Hug’s range, different goods required placement in specific consignment categories. To facilitate seamless order management, we built a system that integrated and communicated with relevant APIs (application programming interfaces), including that of DPD – Hug’s chosen courier – and HubSpot, used to send triggered communications.
The whole process of brand creation was second to none. I am thrilled with what we have achieved and continue to achieve as our brand evolves.
